I pastor in a collaborative space connecting faith and the marketplace in a setting we call The LAB. We knew that a church could be so much more than a traditional Sunday service and Wednesday Bible study. Status quo or “that’s the way we’ve always done it” sucked the life out of us and others. We set out to develop a church that didn’t exist to help people find and live their why, serving 24/7 in the marketplace (beyond a traditional church setting) influencing our culture for Christ. Easier said than done because we couldn’t find a road map. Since there wasn’t one we had to design as we moved forward trailblazing into uncharted territory. We call it a “community reimagined.” This is where people can pursue their dreams and their “why” with other likeminded creatives, a place of trial and error, failure and success, learning, growing and giving. We transform lives for good. Maybe this is the way church was meant to be. .
